Maybe the Amityville house from the movies of the same name is the best and closest example and like that property, this house has been made famous the world over by being the subject of the 2013 James Wan Hollywood blockbuster movie The Conjuring.
Since the trilogy of movies it is now considered to be one of the most haunted house in the US.

The critically acclaimed original movie was based on accounts taken from inhabitants of this fourteen-room farmhouse.
Many qualified paranormal researchers have been invited into the home – most famously Ed and Lorraine Warren, who founded the oldest ghost hunting team in New England.
In the 1970’s, the Warrens were hired to rid the home of its evil. They have confirmed that the events depicted in “The Conjuring” franchise did transpire.
The house was occupied at the time by the Perron family, who bought the property in 1970 and managed to stay at the property for about 10 years.
To this day, countless happenings have been reported. The chilling stories, incidents, and recollections of residents and visitors of the property have been told in dozens of media productions including books, movies, and television shows.
One of the most recent, and freaked out, visitors to this infamous abode was Zak Bagans and his team from Discovery+ popular paranormal programme Ghost Adventures.
